Spring Break

Thank you to all my amazing blog lovers out there for giving me the week and then some off :)


I needed to take some me time, rest, stay in my pi's until 3 and in general be a lil selfish!  


I will be back in action this week with some fun, entertaining posts I promise.


I have missed you all and can't wait for the blogging fun to continue.

I Never Meant to be a Teacher

I want to start out by saying I feel a massive amount of love, respect and honor for all of those individuals who are teachers.  I truly feel like you are the unsung heroes of our world and don't get near enough credit (or pay).   I entertained the idea of being a teacher for about 15 minutes in elementary school and realized even then I didn't have the patience.  My stuffed animals weren't cooperating with the ABC's lesson I put together and I lost interest pretty quickly.   I really didn't give it much thought again until I had kids.  I got a lot of anxiety after having my first child and a massive amount after having my second.  As I did some soul searching about the anxiety I realized it was because of the terrifying thought that I am their most important teacher.  You see all those little sayings and signs about moms/parents being the most important teacher, just be being.   All I can say to that is JESUS TAKE T...

What I Wear To Work

Hello lovely ladies (and gents if you read this)!  I hope you and yours are having a fantastic day.   I know that getting dressed for work can sometimes be a chore.  You throw on the same thing over and over because you're exhausted, it's dark outside and you're exhausted :)   I like getting dressed for work (no surprise there).  It gives me an opportunity to wear items in my closet differently because you know my rule if I'm buying it I gotta be able to wear it at work, at church and on the weekends.   Here are some of my favorite things to wear to work.  They are my tried and true and never disappoint! xoxo 1.  J.Crew Pixie Pant I'm dying over these amazing pants from J.Crew!!  I compare them to leggings but they are so much more.  They are super comfy, but provide structure (and sucking in) where you need it.  You can throw them on with a cute top and jacket and head out the door. ...

Hello all my lovely readers!  I hope you and your are staying toasty warm.  I have been loving all this time with my baby girl.  Please enjoy this edition of Dear Emily.  xoxo Dear Emily, Sweet girl you aren't a baby anymore!!  You are walking, talking (in your way), pointing at things and being so much fun.  You won't believe it but you are starting to run!  It doesn't last long because you fall (sadly) but you are running.  You have also learned to hug, which is amazing!!  Nothing warms my heart more than getting a great big hug from my baby girl.
