At Home Facial Favs

Image
Happy Monday!  I hope you and yours had a great weekend.   On Sunday I gave myself an at home facial and documented some of it on my instastories and got 100 questions, ha!  So I figured I would share what I used here.   The first question I got was the frequency in which I do at home facials and I don't do them as much as I want to or probably should.  I aim for once a week but it's probably every other week.  I love going to a spa and getting a kick ass facial but there isn't always time and sometimes they can be pricey so I've developed an at home routine for myself. I will say as I get older my skin is changing so I'm having to investigate new and different products.  My skin is sensitive, prone to breakouts and can be super dry and super oily so it's a constant juggle for me to find products that actually work for me.  Recently I've been using a ton of philosophy products and I have...

Happy day friends!  I have to tell you that I did a major clean out of my make up recently.  I also cleaned all my make up brushes and the acrylic organizer I use.  It felt so good!  It also made me realize what I was actually using and what I wasn't.   I did a little shopping to make up for what I was missing and have been super happy with my purchases!   Enjoy! xoxo 1.  BeautyCounter Baby Oil I really love, love everything about beauty counter!  I use a ton of their products.  I use their baby oil for my girls but recently have been using it to remove my eye make up and love it!  It's much more gentle than anything I've ever used and really does the trick! Click here! Right now BeautyCounter is doing an awesome special that I am so excited about!  It's a 2 for 1 promo for certain products including the eye cream, body wash, body lotion, hand cream and the list goes on!  I am...

Happy Hump Day peeps!  I hope you are gearing up for a fun 4th of July.  I can't wait to see some fun fireworks and grill out.  Until then enjoy what's in my make up bag.   xoxo 1.  Almay Intense i-color Smoky I really love this eyeshadow trio!  It's so pretty and easy to do.  I like that I could do it lighter during the day and do it a bit heavier at night.  You also can't beat the price!  The great thing Almay did was customize it to your eye color, so smart.  You pick the trio that is perfect for your eye color and boom you have the perfect smoky eye! Click here! 2.  Dior Iconic Overcurl Mascara Everyone knows I am a L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara devotee.  It's truly the only mascara I have ever used since I started wearing make up.  Although I still use it I got a sample of Dior's Iconic Overcurl mascara and I am obsessed!  I love, love it.   It is an amazing mas...

Happy Day readers!  I hope you and yours had a great long weekend! If you know me or have been reading this blog for any period of time you know that I am absolutely obsessed with beauty products.  I love finding new things and trying new things.   I have been reading a lot about the company Beauty Counter.  If you are on Facebook I am sure you have seen/heard about them.  I started doing some research on the company and was super impressed with what I found out!   They are a relatively new company that is only about 2 years old.  They have amazing products that are non-toxic.  It's amazing what is actually in our skincare and make up.  I highly encourage you to read the labels of what you are putting on your face!   I was super jazzed when Beauty Counter sent me some amazing products to try! I wasn't sure what to expect but I was thrilled to find amazing products that rival some of the highe...

Happy Day this and thatters!  I haven't done a beauty post in a minute and I've missed it :)  I hope you enjoy this edition of what's in my make up bag. xoxo 1.  To Go Spa's Green Tea Eye Patches I can't take credit for this find I read about it Molly Sims' amazing book.  I was a bit skeptical but took the chance anyway.  The price isn't too bad $12.50 for 3 sets of eye patches.  Molly (like we're friends) suggested putting them in the fridge and then using them!  I have to say she was exactly right.   For over a week Em has been sick and sleep hasn't been happening regularly so I used the patches and boom amazing results.  While I don't use them everyday these are my new go to tired eye fixer!   Click here! 2.  Chanel Eye Shadow in Mystic Eyes I needed to change up my eye shadow game.  You know I love my Naked palette so I haven't felt the need to purchase any new eye shadow in a very ...

Hello lovelies?! I hope you and yours are doing well and gearing up for turkey day.   Recently, I had to revamp my skincare routine.  My skin was going haywire and I'm not sure if that was because of stress, age or hormones.  Either way I had to do some research and make some changes.  I found a couple of different solutions I can't wait to share! xoxo 1.  Dr. Gross's Alpha Beta Daily Face Peel I found these awesome wipes last time I got a facial.  It was probably the best facial I've ever had.  I was at the Ritz at Lake Oconee so it should have been :) The woman who gave me my facial was awesome and gave me great feedback on what to do and not to do with my skin.  She said if you only buy one product, buy this one, and she was absolutely right.   You use these pads once a day after cleansing your face (normally in the morning) and they are life changing.  They d...

Happy Day this and thatters!!  I hope you and yours are doing well today.   I recently had to make a trip to Neimans and buy some make up.  It was one of those big stock up trips because I seemed to run out of everything at once!  Here are some of my favorites that I found. xoxo 1.  YSL Fusion Ink Broad Spectrum Foundation I needed a great foundation!  One that was full of coverage but also oil free as well.  I love this foundation because you can go light or heavy depending on the time of day and the occasion.  I have used it non stop and I am obsessed.   Click here! 2.  YSL Foundation Brush The gal who was helping me was amazing!  She told me from the start she didn't work for any specific counter so she pulled a bunch of different items for me to try.  I really liked that!  I hate when you sit down at one counter and they only push that product no matter if it's what works for you o...

How are all my lovely readers today?!  I am soaking up fall and loving every minute of it.  It's nice not to sweat every time you walk outside.  I have been refreshing my fall wardrobe and my make up bag.   I love trying new products and transitioning my make up routine!  Here are some products that are in heavy rotation for me right now.  Enjoy! xoxo 1.  The Tan Towel Honestly I may have blogged about this product before my mommy brain cannot remember.  Either way it needs to be blogged about again!  The tan towel is the best product I have ever found for giving you a great glow without streaks, messes, or orange hands.  I love a great spray tan but these days I ain't running out to get one.  So I was thrilled to find the tan towel!  It honestly looks like a huge wet wipe and it has no color on it whatsoever so there's no mess.   I use it for special occasions or for date night and I lo...

What's In My Make Up Bag: The Beautiful Hair Edition

Image
Hello beautiful readers!  How are you today?! I am pretty excited about this blog post as I know we are all always looking for great hair products!  I love getting my hair done and I'm a huge fan of all the blow out bars that have popped up around the city.   I hope you enjoy my favorite hair products to date! xoxo 1.  Wet Brush I LOVE, LOVE the wet brush.  If you don't have one run, do not walk and snap on up.  I have pretty fine/thin hair so it gets easily tangled.  Brushing it out after a shower was always a headache.  So imagine my delight when my hairdresser suggested I try the wet brush.  It is amazing!  You can brush out your hair like it has no tangles, it makes it painless and cuts your time in half.  If you have kids who hate having their hair brushed after bath then this is a must buy for you! 2.  Oscar Blandi Moisture Recovery Shampoo and Conditioner I am obsessed with this shampoo and conditioner!! ...

How are all my lovely readers doing today?! I have to tell you that a few weeks ago I left my make up bag at the beach and I almost died!!!  Luckily I was able to get it back and in the mean time I hit up the local CVS (because they have an amazing beauty club) and made the best of it!   I couldn't be more excited to have my make up bag in my hot little hands and share with you some of my new favorites items that actually stay on your face/lips/eyes! xoxo 1.  Revlon Color Stay Powder I am always looking for long lasting, natural looking make up!  Does it exist?  :)  Well I found a great new powder that stays put in Revlon color stay powder.  I really love how great it looks when it goes on and that it stays put for hours.  The packaging isn't too shabby either! 2.  YSL Lip Liner Number 13 I love a great lip liner!!  I mean who doesn't :)  I love, love YSL lip liner number 13.  It's ...

Hey lovely readers!  How are you? I'm not sure about you but I am ready for SPRING!  This last snap of cold weather that we are having in the ATL is doing nothing to help my spring fever.  I hope this edition of what's in my make up bag helps cure your spring fever :)  xoxo 1.  Cetaphil Moisturizer with SPF 15 So I have a super cute friend who is a PA at a dermatologists office so she's always giving me tips.  Her latest tip was use Cetaphil!!  She basically told me all other products are based off of Cetaphil they just have different packaging.  I snapped their moisturizer with SPF right up and I love it!!   2.  NARS Charade Duo Eyeshadow It's spring and I needed some new eyeshadow so I headed over to the NARS counter and had a blast.  I got a lot more than eyeshadow but I am loving this pinky mauve and plum combo and you will too!  :) 3.  NARS Deep Throat Blush While I as at the NARS counter I also...

Happy Friday beautifuls!   Are you super excited about the weekend ahead?   I am super jazzed about this edition of what's in my make up bag because I love, love this product!   I am also super excited because next week we will have a fabulous guest blogger sharing all her fav beauty tips in a special edition of what's in my make up bag.  She really is the cutest!  When I asked her to be a guest blogger she said she felt like a celebrity, ha.  Stay tuned for her post it's going to be fantastic! Happy weekend.  xoxo It's very rare that I find a product I love as much as this one!  It is also very rare that I will spend $70 on one product.  Hear me out before you judge me!  I actually only spent $20 on this product as I had a $50 Nordstrom gift card.  I read about this product several times before actually giving it a try!  And when T&C featured it this month I broke down and bought it.   If you are like me ...

Happy Thursday this and thatters!  It's almost time for the weekend, get excited :) I am hoping the weekend brings some sunny weather to the ATL.  Until then please enjoy what's in my make up bag.  xoxo 1.  Nars Dolce Vita Lipstick I am always looking for a great lipstick.  One that I can throw in my purse and no matter what I'm wearing or what state of disarray I am in it will look great.  I think I've hit the jackpot with Nars Dolce Vita lipstick.  It is super moisturizing and the perfect pinkish/nude color.  So it gives me color without going overboard!  I love it.  2.  Proactiv Dark Spot Corrector Like most ladies out there (or I hope) I don't have perfectly flawless skin.  I have little sun spots and dark spots from God only knows what.  I tried the proactiv dark spot corrector on a whim and I couldn't be more pleased.  It actually does it's job and erases dark marks.....novel concept.  If y...

Happy Saturday peeps!!  How ar e you doing?  I'm getting ready to cheer on the Dawgs and enjoy some great food and friends.  I hope you enjoy what's in my make up bag!  xoxo 1.  Kate Somerville Daily Deflector Moisturizer So now that it is getting a bit chilly my skin needs some additional moisturizer.  Right now I am addicted to kate somerville's daily deflector moisturizer.  It has spf and makes your skin feel amazing.  This will be a winter staple for me! 2.  Chanel No 5 Velvet Body Cream Is a must have for me during the winter!  I love putting it on after a bath and the scent it leaves is amazing.  Given the price I use it sparingly but it moisturizes so well and is such a treat during those cold winter months! 3.  Dior Addict Lip Glow Balm This might be my fav product ever!  Dior has created a great, moisturizing lip balm that gives you some color as well.  Actually it enhances you...

Hello beauty lovers!  How are you today? I am loving some hot new items I picked up and my recently ordered PB make up bag!  Please enjoy all the goodies I have for you today!  xoxo 1.  John Freida Root Awakening Purify + Nourish Shampoo for Oily Scalp and Dry Hair I have to tell you that I feel like I have found the holy grail with this shampoo!  It basically attacks all my issues.  Oily scalp, check; dry hair, check; volume needed, check!  I use this shampoo daily and it is my new go to favorite.  Try it and you won't be sorry! 2.  Clinique's Stay-Matte Oil-Free Make Up This past weekend when it began raining cats and dogs I ducked into Belk to wait out the storm.  While I was waiting I found the best new make up from Clinique!  I was talking the sweet gal at the Clinique counter complaining about make up that doesn't last and she insisted I try their new stay-matte oil-free make up.  I am so glad she did!...
