I would love to hear from you any fun and exciting indoor activities you might suggest.  Besides the usual coloring, building with blocks etc.  Next week is shaping up to be yet another rainy week and this momma would love new ideas! 2.  Elizabeth Heard Barrettes I was doing some online shopping this week and stumbled across Elizabeth Heard's site and fell in love!  How adorable are these barrettes?!  I literally want them all!  Be sure to check out her adorable site.  I feel like these would make amazing uniqu

Happy Day readers!  I hope you and yours had a great long weekend! If you know me or have been reading this blog for any period of time you know that I am absolutely obsessed with beauty products.  I love finding new things and trying new things.   I have been reading a lot about the company Beauty Counter.  If you are on Facebook I am sure you have seen/heard about them.  I started doing some research on the company and was super impressed with what I found out!   They are a relatively new company that is only about 2 years old.  They have amazing products that are non-toxic.  It's amazing what is actually in our skincare and make up.  I highly encourage you to read the labels of what you are putting on your face!   I was super jazzed when Beauty Counter sent me some amazing products to try! I wasn't sure what to expect but I was thrilled to find amazing products that rival some of the highest end products I have ever used.  The products are luxurious and don&#

Random Thoughts

Happy Tuesday pretty people!   I apologize in advance for using the word random and for the randomness of this blog.  I was out of town and then we have been without TV or internet for two days so I am cramming a lot of thoughts into one blog post.  Enjoy! xoxo 1.  TV How good has TV been lately?  I haven't watched the last episode of Mad Men or Scandal given our TV issues so DO NOT tell me.   How good was Southern Charm last night?!  The train wreck that is Kathryn and Thomas is too bad not to watch!  If you haven't seen it, watch it ASAP! 2.  A Pinch of Healthy My cousin has this amazing blog that I read all the time and you should too!  It's a fantastic cooking blog with awesome recipes made easy and healthy.  I love that she tells you the calorie count and even the weight watchers points!   Although I'm not counting weight watchers points now I did after Emily and my issue with food blogs is I never knew the calorie count or ww points of wh

Mother's Day Reflections

Happy Day this and thatters!!   I hope you and yours had a great Mother's Day!  I had a lovely Mother's Day thanks to the hubs, Em and the sweet baby girl who is literally partying in my belly these days.   I started thinking about Mother's Day, I mean really thinking about what it means to all of us.  For so many years it has been and always will be about my own mother.  The woman who I love more than life!  The woman who I literally couldn't physically separate from when I was younger so I hung onto her leg for the better part of my toddler years.  The woman who I loved so much I would get homesick at spend the night parties.  To say I love my mother and we are close is an understatement.  To say we are perfect and don't fight would be a lie!  We have a real, flawed, beautiful, complicated, magnificent relationship that I wouldn't trade for the world.   I thought about everyone out there who has lost a mother, didn't know their mother or was caring f

Getting Older.....Maybe Wiser

Happy Day this and thatters!!   I hope you are having an awesome weekend and soaking up this great weather.   I turned 35 last friday and to be honest it got me thinking.  It got me thinking about what I've learned and what I still haven't.  I actually like getting older (for the most part) because I feel like I get better, wiser the more I age.  Do you feel the same way?   So here's what I think I've learned and what I'm still working on!  My dad assures me I have plenty of time as he jokes that next year I will be closer to 50 than 20....sweet Jesus! :) The older I get the more I value who I truly am vs. who I think I should be.  I spent so much time in my teens and twenties trying to either be someone else or a perfect version of myself.  I've realized that it's a waste of time to be anyone but you and that perfection is an illusion.  I once read an Ashley Judd quote that said "perfectionism is the highest form of self abuse."  I&#
