The Best Blogs You Aren't Reading

The hubs and I are heading to the mountains for a couple of days to hike and rest up before NYE.  I'm really excited to get away and have some quiet time.  On the way to North Carolina I will be reading my favorite blogs and pinning on Pinterest. 



Below are the blogs I read religiously.  I get great ideas, inspirations, recipes, style ideas etc.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

1.  Gentleman South is a great blog about all things Southern.  Hil Harper tells his readers all about the latest in Southern food, fashion and style.

2.  Unabashedly Prep is an amazing blog about, you guessed it, all thing preppy!  I love, love the blog entries especially the one about Lily Pulitzer's birthday party!  Break out the pearls, blazers and longchamp purses and log on.

3.  Jules Reid isn't really a blog but I love looking at her clothes/site for inspiration.  The clothes are very expensive but she does discount them (at 75%) at the end of each season.  I love her style, design and passion.  Check her out and let me know what you think.

4.  Texts from Bennet makes me laugh every single day!  I know it's probably fake and will get pulled from the internet sooner rather than later but for now I'm hooked.  Take a look and if you aren't offended within the first 10-15 seconds then keep reading.

5.  It's not a secret that I love all things reality and am forever fascinated by the D-List celebrities that star in these shows.  In order to feed my reality addiction I am on the site Reality Tea at least once a day.  I love all the pictures and snarky comments.  If you love watching reality tv then welcome home you have found your place!

At Home Facial Favs

Happy Monday!  I hope you and yours had a great weekend.   On Sunday I gave myself an at home facial and documented some of it on my instastories and got 100 questions, ha!  So I figured I would share what I used here.   The first question I got was the frequency in which I do at home facials and I don't do them as much as I want to or probably should.  I aim for once a week but it's probably every other week.  I love going to a spa and getting a kick ass facial but there isn't always time and sometimes they can be pricey so I've developed an at home routine for myself. I will say as I get older my skin is changing so I'm having to investigate new and different products.  My skin is sensitive, prone to breakouts and can be super dry and super oily so it's a constant juggle for me to find products that actually work for me.  Recently I've been using a ton of philosophy products and I have loved every, single one of them so far!  I also love that you get

Old School Calendar

Soo I have a case of the Mondays and by the way it's Tuesday....booo!  I had a super fun weekend at Steeplechase and honestly wish Steeplechase happened about once every month because it was such a good time.  :) When the hubs and I returned on Sunday from Cville we started talking about all the upcoming events/weddings/trips/business trips etc. we had coming up in the next 5 months and it felt like an elephant was sitting on my chest!  I know I have all these things coming up but to be honest they are sneaking up on me.  For example I will be in St. Simons for a work conference next week and I completely forgot.  I leave the day after my birthday (is it just me or do birthdays get let special the older you get?)  So I have been scrambling all day to make my travel arrangements and in general get my sh!t together.
