Happy Friday this and thatters!  Sorry I've been slack about blogging but I've been a busy bee this week and next week we are at the beach.  I promise I will get back to my regular blogging schedule ASAP.

Dear Emily,

 OMG you are growing up so fast!  I love it and it scares me at the same time.  Ha, ha!  I went to lunch with some dear friends this week and held their sweet babies who are about 10 wks old and got emotional remembering that time with you.  There is nothing that I will ever cherish more than those first months with you.  I loved learning how to be a mom and I loved doing that with you!

 You are getting 5 teeth right now!  I feel awful for you because I know it's uncomfortable.  You are a slow teether and it looks like you've decided to do a lot at once.  I'm trying to make you as comfortable as possible but my heart just breaks for you.  

 You are talking up a storm and I love it.  You say "thank you" all the time which is so sweet.  Nothing is better than hearing you say "love you".  It melts my heart every time and makes every bad day better.  You are truly coming into your own and that means testing which can be a challenge.  I hope I'm making the best choices and letting you be you while giving you boundaries.  

 You are really sweet about your baby sister on the way.  You say "sissy" all the time and kiss my belly.  You tell her you "love you" a lot which is so sweet.  I can't wait for you to meet each other.  I think that will be one of the most amazing days of my life!  

 Little one you are becoming such an individual and I love it so much!  I am so proud of you and all the things you are accomplishing.  I am so glad that you are happy!  You tell me all the time "I happy".  That makes me so happy you have no idea.  I can't wait to see what happens next!

At Home Facial Favs

Happy Monday!  I hope you and yours had a great weekend.   On Sunday I gave myself an at home facial and documented some of it on my instastories and got 100 questions, ha!  So I figured I would share what I used here.   The first question I got was the frequency in which I do at home facials and I don't do them as much as I want to or probably should.  I aim for once a week but it's probably every other week.  I love going to a spa and getting a kick ass facial but there isn't always time and sometimes they can be pricey so I've developed an at home routine for myself. I will say as I get older my skin is changing so I'm having to investigate new and different products.  My skin is sensitive, prone to breakouts and can be super dry and super oily so it's a constant juggle for me to find products that actually work for me.  Recently I've been using a ton of philosophy products and I have loved every, single one of them so far!  I also love that you get

A Sad Season

I have to tell you that these past few months and perhaps this year have been hard and yes sad.  My mother told me when we were talking about it that I was experiencing "a sad season" and I have to agree. Now this doesn't mean that everything has been awful, sad and terrible.  I haven't been in bed for weeks at a time with the covers over my head watching trash tv.  Instead I feel like it has been one of those times were the hits just keep on coming.  The bad news just keeps rolling in like ocean waves.  It has been a time of tremendous loss and sadness.  The events that have occurred aren't the same but it felt like every time I would get my ahead above water something else would happen.   It has been difficult because there are happy times mixed in to all of the sad.  In those times of happiness I have genuinely tried to be in the moment but my heart wasn't in the right place.  My heart has not felt happy and there has been an undercurrent of sadness tha
