1.  John Freida Root Awakening Purify + Nourish Shampoo for Oily Scalp and Dry Hair

I have to tell you that I feel like I have found the holy grail with this shampoo!  It basically attacks all my issues.  Oily scalp, check; dry hair, check; volume needed, check!  I use this shampoo daily and it is my new go to favorite.  Try it and you won't be sorry!






2.  Clinique's Stay-Matte Oil-Free Make Up

This past weekend when it began raining cats and dogs I ducked into Belk to wait out the storm.  While I was waiting I found the best new make up from Clinique!  I was talking the sweet gal at the Clinique counter complaining about make up that doesn't last and she insisted I try their new stay-matte oil-free make up.  I am so glad she did!  This make up goes on light, with good coverage and truly helps with that whole oily T-zone issue.  I am a new devotee and love spreading the word!






3.  Dior Universal Contour Lipliner

Let's face it you gotta love Dior!  They make some amazing make up and come up with awesome solutions to real life make up dilemmas.  This awesome lip liner goes on fabulous under any lip gloss or lip color to prolong the wear...score!  And because it is universal you don't have to worry about picking a pesky color it is the one size fits all, only lipliner you will ever need, gotta have it right now new item in my make up bag :)

At Home Facial Favs

Happy Monday!  I hope you and yours had a great weekend.   On Sunday I gave myself an at home facial and documented some of it on my instastories and got 100 questions, ha!  So I figured I would share what I used here.   The first question I got was the frequency in which I do at home facials and I don't do them as much as I want to or probably should.  I aim for once a week but it's probably every other week.  I love going to a spa and getting a kick ass facial but there isn't always time and sometimes they can be pricey so I've developed an at home routine for myself. I will say as I get older my skin is changing so I'm having to investigate new and different products.  My skin is sensitive, prone to breakouts and can be super dry and super oily so it's a constant juggle for me to find products that actually work for me.  Recently I've been using a ton of philosophy products and I have loved every, single one of them so far!  I also love that you get

A Sad Season

I have to tell you that these past few months and perhaps this year have been hard and yes sad.  My mother told me when we were talking about it that I was experiencing "a sad season" and I have to agree. Now this doesn't mean that everything has been awful, sad and terrible.  I haven't been in bed for weeks at a time with the covers over my head watching trash tv.  Instead I feel like it has been one of those times were the hits just keep on coming.  The bad news just keeps rolling in like ocean waves.  It has been a time of tremendous loss and sadness.  The events that have occurred aren't the same but it felt like every time I would get my ahead above water something else would happen.   It has been difficult because there are happy times mixed in to all of the sad.  In those times of happiness I have genuinely tried to be in the moment but my heart wasn't in the right place.  My heart has not felt happy and there has been an undercurrent of sadness tha
