Before and After

Before I show you my latest home before and after I have to ask how is lent going?!?!   Only having 2 caffeinated beverages a day has definitely been a sacrifice and I picked the right thing to give up for lent.  Also, as I type this I am in sweaty workout clothes (TMI I know) as I just finished running.  So far, so good on lent...keep me posted on how you are doing!

So the home improvement continues at casa Womack and I have to say I am excited.  The house is being painted next week.  I got some great help and much needed assistance from our super sweet neighbor and designer extradionare and I can't wait to see it come to life.  Right now the majority of our house is painted in a very light beige/taupe color and I am really excited for some new darker colors and variation.

I have been working on our very small entrance way which is basically the size of a rectangle.  Before there were two huge UGA/GA prints on the entryway wall that the hubs got for college graduation.  I really love the prints but not sure the entryway was the right place for them.  So here is the entrace hallway before and please disregard the awful cell phone pics and marked up walls :)








And here is our entryway after!  I can't wait for the darker paint as I think the wall plaques will really pop.  I love these so much because they are unique, different sizes and not a picture or mirror. 









Ok these sleepy gal is hitting the showers, having a glass of wine and getting ready for a big work day tomorrow!  Stay tuned for some fun posts this weekend and guess what I got a new car.  I won out and there is a beautiful 2010 Lexus RX 350 in the garage that is all mine.  YAY!

At Home Facial Favs

Happy Monday!  I hope you and yours had a great weekend.   On Sunday I gave myself an at home facial and documented some of it on my instastories and got 100 questions, ha!  So I figured I would share what I used here.   The first question I got was the frequency in which I do at home facials and I don't do them as much as I want to or probably should.  I aim for once a week but it's probably every other week.  I love going to a spa and getting a kick ass facial but there isn't always time and sometimes they can be pricey so I've developed an at home routine for myself. I will say as I get older my skin is changing so I'm having to investigate new and different products.  My skin is sensitive, prone to breakouts and can be super dry and super oily so it's a constant juggle for me to find products that actually work for me.  Recently I've been using a ton of philosophy products and I have loved every, single one of them so far!  I also love that you get

A Sad Season

I have to tell you that these past few months and perhaps this year have been hard and yes sad.  My mother told me when we were talking about it that I was experiencing "a sad season" and I have to agree. Now this doesn't mean that everything has been awful, sad and terrible.  I haven't been in bed for weeks at a time with the covers over my head watching trash tv.  Instead I feel like it has been one of those times were the hits just keep on coming.  The bad news just keeps rolling in like ocean waves.  It has been a time of tremendous loss and sadness.  The events that have occurred aren't the same but it felt like every time I would get my ahead above water something else would happen.   It has been difficult because there are happy times mixed in to all of the sad.  In those times of happiness I have genuinely tried to be in the moment but my heart wasn't in the right place.  My heart has not felt happy and there has been an undercurrent of sadness tha
