Valentine's Day For Him

If you are like me shopping for the man in your life kind sometimes be a chore!  Trying to find something they want and need can be difficult.  After 3 years I feel like I am finally figuring it out....well kind of. 

For Valentine's Day I found some super cute, functional things that the hubs is sure to love.  Plus we are going to a fantastic dinner which is always my favorite part :)

1.  Orvis Embossed Wallet

I love, love this wallet with the initials embossed on it (who are we kidding I'm a sucker for a monogram anywhere).  I also really like how soft the leather is and let's be serious my hubs has been carrying the same wallet since college!


2.  Patagonia Better Sweater Vest

My hubs had a patagonia vest but again it was from the college days and he definitely needed an upgrade.  I found the answer in patagonia's better sweater vest.  This vest is super soft and warm and it is an added bonus that it also looks great!



3.  A Great Pair of Shoes

So when thinking about shoes for the hubs I really have to balance what I want vs what he will want.  He needs and wants a great pair of boots and he really needs new dress shoes so guess what....he gets both! 

For the dress shoes I fell hard for these Cole Haan Air Aiden Classic Bit.  I love how they look and the hubs will love how comfortable they are!



For the boots I looked high and low for a unique pair of functional yet good looking boots.  I think I found them in these Ariat Boots that he can wear to work! 



4.  Sterling Silver Monogrammed Belt Buckle

I love, love this good looking sterling silver belt buckle.  I love that the buckle can be moved to either a black belt or a brown belt.  I also really love that it can be worn everyday and again I really like that you can monogram it with his initials!



5.  A Great Dress Shirt

There is nothing I love more than a great dress shirt on a man!  I especially love the look of Burberry's dress shirts for men.  They are a bit pricey but hey Valentine's Day is a special occasion :)

At Home Facial Favs

Happy Monday!  I hope you and yours had a great weekend.   On Sunday I gave myself an at home facial and documented some of it on my instastories and got 100 questions, ha!  So I figured I would share what I used here.   The first question I got was the frequency in which I do at home facials and I don't do them as much as I want to or probably should.  I aim for once a week but it's probably every other week.  I love going to a spa and getting a kick ass facial but there isn't always time and sometimes they can be pricey so I've developed an at home routine for myself. I will say as I get older my skin is changing so I'm having to investigate new and different products.  My skin is sensitive, prone to breakouts and can be super dry and super oily so it's a constant juggle for me to find products that actually work for me.  Recently I've been using a ton of philosophy products and I have loved every, single one of them so far!  I also love that you get

A Sad Season

I have to tell you that these past few months and perhaps this year have been hard and yes sad.  My mother told me when we were talking about it that I was experiencing "a sad season" and I have to agree. Now this doesn't mean that everything has been awful, sad and terrible.  I haven't been in bed for weeks at a time with the covers over my head watching trash tv.  Instead I feel like it has been one of those times were the hits just keep on coming.  The bad news just keeps rolling in like ocean waves.  It has been a time of tremendous loss and sadness.  The events that have occurred aren't the same but it felt like every time I would get my ahead above water something else would happen.   It has been difficult because there are happy times mixed in to all of the sad.  In those times of happiness I have genuinely tried to be in the moment but my heart wasn't in the right place.  My heart has not felt happy and there has been an undercurrent of sadness tha
