Before and After

There is nothing I love more than a great before and after!  I watch those makeover shows and shows like hoarders specifically for the before and after shots. 

As I am taking on the task of doing some tweaks to our house I thought posting some before and after shots would be fun! 

For this first edition of before and I after I will be showcasing my new granite.  I have begged for granite for almost 3 years and it finally happened.  When the hubs sent me the granite samples I did pick the most expensive kind....oops !!  The hubs quickly pointed out my faux pas and guided me to a more reasonably priced granite. 

To be honest the process was really easy and the granite was installed within a couple of hours.  The plumber came the next day and BAM....beautiful, new kitchen!

So here are the before and after pics of our kitchen!  Stay tuned for before and after pics of the upcoming paint job, new stools for the kitchen and a flooring project  (and the bathroom if I can convince the hubs). 


Nothing too terrible about these countertops but let's be serious they were black and showed every little spill, stain or spray. 






And now can I get a drum roll please for the beautiful new granite in my life :)

At Home Facial Favs

Happy Monday!  I hope you and yours had a great weekend.   On Sunday I gave myself an at home facial and documented some of it on my instastories and got 100 questions, ha!  So I figured I would share what I used here.   The first question I got was the frequency in which I do at home facials and I don't do them as much as I want to or probably should.  I aim for once a week but it's probably every other week.  I love going to a spa and getting a kick ass facial but there isn't always time and sometimes they can be pricey so I've developed an at home routine for myself. I will say as I get older my skin is changing so I'm having to investigate new and different products.  My skin is sensitive, prone to breakouts and can be super dry and super oily so it's a constant juggle for me to find products that actually work for me.  Recently I've been using a ton of philosophy products and I have loved every, single one of them so far!  I also love that you get

Old School Calendar

Soo I have a case of the Mondays and by the way it's Tuesday....booo!  I had a super fun weekend at Steeplechase and honestly wish Steeplechase happened about once every month because it was such a good time.  :) When the hubs and I returned on Sunday from Cville we started talking about all the upcoming events/weddings/trips/business trips etc. we had coming up in the next 5 months and it felt like an elephant was sitting on my chest!  I know I have all these things coming up but to be honest they are sneaking up on me.  For example I will be in St. Simons for a work conference next week and I completely forgot.  I leave the day after my birthday (is it just me or do birthdays get let special the older you get?)  So I have been scrambling all day to make my travel arrangements and in general get my sh!t together. I realized that I'm probably going to have to buy an old school day planner to keep the hubs and I organized over the next six months.  When I mentioned this
